Chapel of Santa Maria Maddalena and Santa Caterina d'Alessandria

Bardonecchia

Religious Art

The chapel dates back to the first half of fifteenth Century. It hosts a sixteenth Century fresco cycle representing the history of the life and martyrization of Saint Catherine from Alexandria. The figures of Saint Mary the Magdalene and Saint Francis, this one dressed with the frock and showing the stigmata, are represented into two panels of the absidal wall, while Veronica’s veil is represented on the altar’s basement.
