Via Vescovado 1, 10050 Chiomonte

Chiomonte has ancient origins, with settlements in different places due to landslides. Historically linked to the Savoys and the Counts of Albon, it was part of the Grand Escarton Briançonnaise and the diocese of Pinerolo. Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem ran a shelter for pilgrims with the church of St. Catherine. The village has preserved the original urban layout with stately homes such as Palazzo Beraud and Casa Ronsil. The parish of Santa Maria Assunta features precious wooden furnishings. Fresh like the Stories of Saint Andrew in the chapel of the Ramats are attributed to the Master of Coignet. The Frais hamlet is today a ski resort. Traditional events such as the celebration of San Sebastiano with the Puento dance take place throughout the year. Surface area 26.66 km², 948 inhabitants, altitude 383 m above sea level.
